The Coller line presented here goes back to Thomas Coller who was born in New Jersey (1765 - 1839). Research suggests his father was Thomas Turner Coller who descended from undertermined ancestors leading back to England. I do not include Thomas Turner Coller and his possible ancestors because I have found no supporting documentation.
This book also contains the ancestors of Pamela Nixon Coller. On her mother's side, surname Richmond, Pam's lineage goes back to the Mayflower and Pilgrim Thomas Rogers. Pam is Thomas Rogers 11th greatgranddaughter. This lineage was researched by Pam's mother, Marian Richmond Nixon Burr, and verified by the Mayflower Society. Thomas left England due to religious persecution and settled in Leiden, Holland with others who were facing the same threats. He was among those who left to start a new life in the new world aboard the Mayflower. They ended their journey in Massachussetts where they established the Plymouth Colony.
Some interesting information for those with Leary ancestors. You may be related to Daniel Boone. Trace back through Leary and Henton to where the Boone family ties in. If you keep looking, you will find your way to Daniel Boone. You can also find him in the index. He would be my second cousin 7 times removed. This line needs additional verification.
Another person of interest is David Leary. During the Civil War David was a Confederate soldier, spent time in a Union prison camp, and became a Union soldier. He joined the Confederate army in his birth state of Virginia, and at the end of his service, was mustered out of the Union army in Ohio.
There have been many contributors and much of what you find here is due to them. Their help is greatly appreciated. Karen Coller Currel and Mary Ellen Welsh Widmer have provided documents and insight into the Coller, Miller, Leary, Welsh and other family groups over many years.
